The first season starts with episode ‘Faith’. In this episode the characters are introduced. Eli is an attorney and is engaged with his boss Jordon’s daughter Taylor. In the same episode it is shown that he is having strange delusions. His first love from college Beth visits him with her child, who is suffering from autism and Eli helps her to sue the pharmaceutical company which prepares that mercury based vaccine. After two weeks of illusions he realizes that most of his hallucinations become true. In the third episode his fiancée Taylor and his brother Nathan appear. As he had a delusion about Taylor leading World War II, so he consults his brother to make adjustments in his medical records to from his law firm’s senior partners. Finally he breaks up with Taylor and at the same time his visions encourage him to fight the case of a former coma patient, who wants his lost life back. Later while fighting an old case, his hallucinations disturb him in the court room. Due to which Eli’s job is in danger. Then a Maggie Dekker comes in his life and both indulge in a malpractice.

Then Eli predicts an earthquake and he evicts the residents of that area from their homes. Eli does have a hallucination about his favorite singer George Michael that he is seeking his help in a case. Nathan finds a neurosurgeon to fix Eli’s problem. Eli again sees the delusions of earthquake and this time it happens. At last he undergoes the most awaited surgery and it is shown that he has dies and he meets the God in heaven and God resembles his favorite singer George Michael. Now it will be disclosed in the second season, whether he has actually dies or it was another dream or delusion.

The Best Episode- Waiting For That Day

Eli Stone proved to be a success after just airing a few episodes and the show has seen just one season yet. The whole season got wonderful ratings contrary to the previous speculations that show has a common story and it won’t tease anybody’s mind as a comedy. Waiting For That day is the best episode of the season as it got the maximum ratings 9.7. This is the second last episode and picked up the storyline from a previous episode of the same season. In this episode, Eli had a hallucination that an earthquake is going to strike in San Francisco. After this, to save hundreds of people’s lives, he compels the owner of the area to evict people from their homes. For doing this he even bribes the judge.
In the episode Waiting…….his delusions tell him that this time earthquake will strike Golden Gate Bridge. He warns the concerned people about tit but nobody believes him. Later on he meets scientist, Daniel Foote, who also predicts an earthquake in upcoming hours. So he joins Eli in his protest and both sue the San Francisco administration for not shutting down the Golden Gate Bridge to prevent any harm due to earthquake.
This was the most entertaining episode of the season, in fact this is the one which forced me to laugh hard. Actually the show gathered the huge popularity due to kicking a controversy in the very beginning of the show. The first episode Faith shows that Eli’s first love and ex-girl friend from college comes again in his life, but this time with the problem of his son. She believes that the childhood vaccination meant for prevention from disastrous diseases has caused his son autism. Now she wants to sue the pharmaceutical company. This incident kicked off the controversies in real. The pharmaceutical companies who produce these drugs displayed their agitation towards the plot line of the episode, as many people started believing that these drugs are really mercury infected and are harmful for their children. These rumors ruled the newspapers and magazines for long time.
